Delone Catholic dominates in 42-6 Homecoming Victory against York Catholic

Delone Catholic Squires hosted the York Catholic Fighting Irish at J.T. Flaherty Field for their homecoming game and dominated the whole game with a 42-6 victory.

Delone Catholic opened up the game with a passing touchdown from QB Denver Ostrum to WR Levi Hohenstein. Putting the Squires on top early sent the electricity through the student section which kept up all game.

The Squires held York Catholic to a three and out and charged down the field with a Brady Dittenburn rushing touchdown, his first of the night, putting the Squires up 14-0 early in the first quarter.

Just before the end of the first quarter, Gage Zimmerman added to the score with 6 points with his first rushing touchdown of the night as well. At the end of the first quarter Delone Catholic was dominant with a 21-0 lead.

Second quarter of play was limited with action, other than great defensive holds from both Delone Catholic and York Catholic. Brady Dittenburn added to the Delone Catholic lead with his second rushing touchdown of the night.

As time expired into halftime, Delone Catholic had another rushing touchdown to give them a sizable lead entering the half 35-0.

Coming out of halftime, Delone Catholic continued the dominance like they never left the field, giving Gage Zimmerman his second rushing touchdown of the night.

No action in the remainder of the third quarter and well into the fourth until York Catholic put some points on the board, getting a rushing touchdown from Sean Melhorn, giving them 6 points on the night.

Delone Catholic’s homecoming game ended in strong fashion with a 42-6 win over the York Catholic Fighting Irish.

Delone Catholic continues the winning streak with a third win, and getting to .500 at 3-3. York Catholic gets another loss on the season falling to 1-5.
Next week, Delone Catholic will travel to Biglerville to face the 3-3 Canners. York Catholic will travel to Hanover to face the 1-5 Nighthawks.
