Steelton-Highspire quarterback Alex Erby got his second state record this year throwing 7 touchdowns against Newport to claim the most TD passes in a year. He surpassed Central Red Dragon qb Jeff Hoenstine’s record of 146 set last year.

Erby also added to the record of most passing yards in a career. He broke Brett Brumbaugh’s record of 11,084 yards last week against Camp Hill.

It’s truly a blessing thanks to the man above. It’s an honor to do it the the teammate I’ve been playing with for a long time” said Erby afterwards. “I mean, I couldn’t do it without my teammates, without my line. I gotta thank them. Blessings to them”. As for the names he’s surpassed, “againg it’s a blessing. Being recognized as one of the best to throw the rock, it’s great. I’m just truly happy but we still have two tough games coming up”.
