The Tigers have trailed their opponents since the first quarter of their game vs Wyomissing last Friday night. Trailing in the third quarter against a Schuylkill Valley team that has scored 140 points the last two weeks, the Tigers bit down hard and came from behind to get back on the winning track with a 32-21 win. The Tigers piled up 450 yards on the ground with Christian Moreno and Ben Leister leading the way, gaining 207 and 111 yards respectively. Charlie Maddocks threw in 81 yards.
Maddocks hit brother Owen for a 27 yard score with just over 9 1/2 minutes to play to give the Tigers their first lead in 6 quarters after they hadn’t trailed all year. He then found Moreno for a two point conversion.
Reinhold Louis and Mike Knowles got the first two scores of the game for the Panthers. Louis a 5 yard td and Knowles a 56 yard reception from qb Nicco Iaccarino. The Tigers got a 99 yard td drive followed by a 6 yard td run from Maddocks leaving the score 14-12 Panthers at the half as Fleetwood failed to secure extra points. Moreno scored three times. Fleetwood has Hamburg next week while Schuylkill Valley gets Berks.
