“7-3 looks a whole lot better than 6-4”. That was what Aaron Kanagy had to say when I asked him what the feeling was in practice this past week. The Indians came out victorious against the Blackhawks of Susquenita.

“ It feels good to step up and help my team. I can’t do it without my blockers” said Heath Hutchinson in the post game as he would draw first blood in this contest at the 8:37 mark. A Brant walters Pat let it 7-0, and that’s when the defenses would come to play. The score board would hold the same until a ‘Nita field goal cut the lead to four at the 2:31 mark of quarter number two.

Multiple three and outs from both teams were the story of the early third quarter. Aaron Kanagy who managed 79 yards on the ground would cash in on the first of two 2nd half touchdowns. The PAT wouldn’t bear any fruit however as the score remained 13-3.

The two football teams took to playing exceptional defense and most people thought that would be how we concluded, until Aaron Kanagy broke out on a third and short and cashed in from 41 yards out  3:27 4th. They attempted a 2pt conversion but they would be stopped short.
