Mechanicsburg Junior S Seth Brubaker returns an interception.

Mechancisburg Sophomore Quarterback Jeff Lougee led the Wildcats to a 27-17 come-from-behind victory over the host Red Land Patriots.

Red Land struck first taking a 7-0 lead on a 2-yard pass from Sophomore QB Roman Jensen to Sr RB Kaden Peifer.  Jensen added a 2nd Quarter, 11-yard touchdown pass to Jr WR Parker Lawler to put the Patriots up 14-0.

Mechanicsburg got on the board with 45 seconds left in the half on a 37-yd touchdown run by Jr RB Parker Sample.  After a missed extra point, the Wildcats went into the locker room trailing 14-6.

Mechanicsburg started the 2nd half on their 12-yd line and marched 88 yards on 8 straight runs, with Lougee scoring the first of his three touchdowns on a 27-yd run.  A 2-point conversion failed and the score was 14-12.

It looked like the momentum would swing back to Red Land when Lawler returned the ensuing kickoff 77-yards, but Mechanicsburg held the Patriots to a field goal, making the score 17-12.

Lougee then scored on the next possession on a 30-yard run, and connected with Sample on the 2-point conversion, putting the Wildcats up 20-17.

Red Land got into Mechanicsburg territory on their next drive, but it was stalled when the Wildcat defense held on 4th down at the Mechanicsburg 30-yd line.

On the next play, Lougee ran 70 yards for his third touchdown.  The extra point was good and the score at the final whistle was 27-17.
