New Oxford Rolls Past York Suburban to Stay Undefeated (Photo Gallery)

In the wake of York Suburban Homecoming activities, New Oxford got a 35-14 victory over the Trojans to continue their 5-game winning streak and undefeated season.
The Colonials got off to a great start with a 61-yard touchdown on their first drive of the game from New Oxford’s Brennan Holmes to put them up 7-0. Brennan Holmes would catch another 55-yard pass and run it in for a touchdown to put the Colonials up 14-0 at the end of the first.
York Suburban would finally get on the scoreboard at the end of the second quarter with Rylan Bratton throwing a 42-yard touchdown pass to Donovan Alicea. At the half, the score remained 14-7, with great defensive stops for both teams.
New Oxford would find their footing again and put down 2 touchdowns in the third quarter, one by Clayton Nieves and one by Brennan Holmes.
The score was 28-7 going into the fourth quarter, and both teams were able to score before time expired. Clayton Nieves had another touchdown for the Colonials to put them up 35-7. Cj Rissmiler would get his first touchdown with under a minute left in the game, but it would not be enough to hold back New Oxford 35-14.
Brennan Holmes would end the game with 3 touchdowns for New Oxford, and Clayton Nieves would also get 2. Cj Rissmiller was only able to get one touchdown, a stark difference from his past 2 games where he scored 7 touchdowns combined. The Colonials are now 5-0 and host Susquehannock, while the Trojans fall to 2-3 and are away at Dover next week.
