Glenn Robinson made the most of increased carries on Senior Night to score three touchdowns for Mechanicsburg, as the Wildcats held on for a 21-12 victory over Susquehanna Township at Mechanicsburg’s John H. Frederick Field.
Robinson scored on runs of 5 yards, 35 yards and 1 yard to pace the Wildcats (5-3 overall, 2-2 Mid-Penn Colonial). Jeff Lougee added 90 yards passing and Junior RB Parker Sample rushed for 93 yards with a long run of 51 yds.
Susquehanna Twp QB Javon White passed for 91 yards and 1 touchdown, but the Indians (0-8, 0-5) could only muster 43 yards rushing and one touchdown against a stingy Mechanicsburg defense. Both Township scores came after turnovers on the Mechanicsburg end of the field.
Next week Mechanicsburg travels to Waynesboro and Susquehanna Township is home against Northern York in Mid-Penn Colonial matchups.
