York-Adams Interscholastic Athletic Association (YAIAA) Division I action:

The Mustangs of South Western (5-5 overall, 5-2 League) defeated the Rockets of Spring Grove (3-7 overall, 1-6 league) 28-10 in league action. The passing and rushing yards were nearly equal but the game rode the strong passing arm of junior quarterback Brock Geiman, who accounted for 133-yards and 2 touchdowns. He set a new school record for season passing yards with 1,489-yards, eclipsing the 2009 record of 1,483-yards by Ian Smith. As the number 18 seed in the District 3 Class AAAA Playoff picture the Mustangs just missed out, as only the top 16 make the playoffs. The Mustangs gained 176-yards rushing and 133-yards passing for a total of 309-yards of offense. Junior quarterback Brock Geiman completed 8 of 18 passes for the 133-yards and 2 touchdowns (setting a new school record for season passing yards with 1,489), 5 for 93-yards to Noah Staub (including touchdowns of 14 and 41-yards) and 3 for 40-yards to Brady Thayer, for the Mustangs. Geiman led the Mustangs rushing attack with 6 carries for 93-yards (including a 61-yard touchdown), followed by Robby Harbison with 15 carries for 45-yards (including a 12-yard touchdown), Miles Francis with 6 carries for 27-yards, Bret Hertzog with 5 carries for 9-yards, and Drew Hartlaub with 1 carry for 5-yards. As the 5th seed in the Class AAAA District Playoffs, the Wildcats will host the number 12 seed Lancaster-Lebanon League Section 1 Black Knights of Hempfield (6-4 overall, 3-4 league) at 7PM November 7 at Wildcat Stadium in the first round. Addison Quinones led the Wildcats rushing attack with 60-yards (including a 4-yard touchdown), followed by Dezmond Jones with 45, Sharod Wilson with 16, Nathan Strong with 1-yard and Cade Gold with minus 16-yards. The Panthers of Central York (5-5 overall, 5-2 league) defeated the Bearcats of William Penn, York High, (3-7 overall, 3-4 league) 42-21 in league action. As the number 17 seed in the District 3 Class AAAA Playoff picture the Panthers just missed out, as only the top 16 make the playoffs. Pearson Hinkle led the Panthers rushing attack with 152-yards (including a 17-yard touchdown), followed by Terrance Carter with 86 (including touchdowns of 10 and 42-yards), Jeremiah Dadeboe with 24, Elzir Stroman with 3-yards (including touchdowns of 1 and 2-yards), and Nik Strine with 1-yard. As the number 2 seed in the District 3 Class AAA Playoff picture the Golden Knights will host the number 15 seed Lancaster-Lebanon League Section 3 Indians of Donegal (7-3 overall, 4-2 league) at Bulldog Stadium on November 7 at 7PM in the first round. Stanley Ross Campbell led the Bulldogs rushing attack with 185-yards (including touchdowns of 20, 1, and 2-yards), followed by Brett Kinneman with 85 (including a 6-yard touchdown), Cadence Thomas with 76 (including a 33-yard touchdown), Garrett Stauffer with 44, and Noah Bowers with 42-yards. Keegan Corwell led the Golden Knights rushing attack with 198-yards (including a 63-yard touchdown), followed by Lucas Barshinger with 161-yards (including 5 touchdowns for 5, 1, 1, 13, and 2-yards), Damian McKinsey with 92-yards, Conrad Rhein with 12-yards, and Jimmy Kurnik with 2-yards. Hakeem Kinard led the Fighting Irish rushing attack with 251-yards (including a 52-yard touchdown), followed by Jaklar Kinard with 80 (including a 1-yard touchdown), Greg Bennett with 11, Jack Burnside with 7, and Tom Lamont with 1-yard. Alex Little led the Squires rushing attack with 187-yards (including touchdowns of 56 and 1-yards), followed by Jake Kadis with 166 (including touchdowns of 45 and 3-yards), Tavian Dorsey with 138 (including touchdowns of 24 and 50-yards), Logan Panzer with 8, Sean Sneeringer with 8, David Metcalf with 5-yards, Brady Strasbaugh with 1-yard, and Andrew Hernandez with no yards. Quarterback Jake wiles completed 2 of 5 passes for 39-yards, 1 for 25-yards to Justin Gobrecht and 1 for 14-yards to Tyler Loucks, for the Squires. Jay Strickland kicked 2 extra point and Wiles threw two 2-point conversion passes, to Gobrecht and Larry Lefler, for the Squires. Justin Barnes led the Nighthawks rushing attack with 32-yards, followed by Jordan Laughman with 27, Bill Morris with 23 (including a 6-yard touchdown), Resean Williams with 9, Wendell Oliveras with 3, and Nick Seymour with 2-yards. The Mid-Penn Keystone Division’s Patriots of Red Land (7-3 overall, 3-3 league) were defeated by the Colts of Cedar Cliff (8-2 overall, 5-1 league) 42-13 in league action. As the number 5 seed in the District 3 Class AAA Playoff picture the Patriots will host the number 12 seed Lancaster-Lebanon League Section 2 Golden Mules of Solanco (6-4 overall, 4-3 league) at West Shore Stadium at Cedar Cliff High School on November 7 at 7PM in the first round. Jayden Demmy led the Colts rushing attack with 161-yards (including touchdowns of 12 and 21-yards, followed by Grant Breneman with 24, Harry Lowbar with 4-yards, Cole Whalen with 1-yard, and Patrick Duggan with minus 2-yards. Quarterback Breneman completed 16 of 24 passes for 279-yards and 4 touchdowns, 6 for 110-yards to Noah Malone (including touchdowns of 20, 22, and 31-yards), 3 for 74-yards to Mike Viti (including a 50-yaed touchdown), 2 for 47-yards to Jordan Stiles, 2 for 16-yards to Whalen, 1 for 13-yards to Demmy, 1 for 12-yards to John McGee, and 1 for 7-yards to Ryan Schoppert, for the Colts. Joey Gallucci kicked 6 extra points for the Colts. The Mid-Penn Colonial Division’s Polar Bears of Northern York (3-7 overall, 2-4 league) were defeated by the Panthers of East Pennsboro (8-2 overall, 5-1 league) 50-22 in league action. As the number 10 seed in the District 3 Class AAA Playoff picture the Panthers will visit the number 7 seed Lancaster-Lebanon League Section 2 Eagles of Cocalico (7-3 overall, 5-2 league) at Eagles Stadium November 7 at 7PM in the first round. Bryton Fegley led the Panthers rushing attack with 83-yards (including an 11-yard touchdown), followed by Erik Trostle with a 30-yard touchdown run, TJ Stahlman with 25, Kyron Dennis with a 23-yard touchdown run, Owassa McDaniel with 17, and Dakota Snedeker with 12-yards. Quarterback Stahlman completed 15 of 18 passes for 292-yards and 4 touchdowns, 4 for 115-yards to Snedeker (including a 74-yard touchdown), 2 for 62-yards to Trostle, 4 for 53-yards to Amir Mundy (including a 17-yard touchdown), 2 for 31-yards to Dennis, 2 for24-yards to Zach Wertz (including a 1-yard touchdown), and David Stepanyan with a 7-yard touchdown pass, for the Panthers.
