The Mustangs of South Western (3-5 overall, 3-2 League) defeated the Bearcats of William Penn, York High, (2-6 overall, 2-3 league) 49-21 in league action. The Mustangs gained 228-yards rushing and 203-yards passing for a total of 431-yards of offense. Junior quarterback Brock Geiman completed 9 of 16 passes for the 203-yards and 2 touchdowns, 2 for 75-yards to Drew Hartlaub (including a 39-yard touchdown), 3 for 67-yards to Robby Harbison, 2 for 37-yards to Noah Staub (including a 28-yard touchdown), 1 for 19-yards to Bret Hertzog, and 1 for 5-yards to Miles Francis, for the Mustangs. Colton Dull led the Eagles rushing attack with 290-ysrds (including 5 touchdowns, for 8, 1, 2, 42, and 10-yards), followed by Briton Shelton with 105, Ryan Markle with 49 (including a 33yard touchdown), and Phoenix Russell with 6-yards, Quarterback Markle only attempted 2 passes and di not complete any. Connor Zahm kicked 6 extra points, Brennan Waltermyer intercepted 1 pass, and Noah Hakes recorded 1sack, for the Eagles. The undefeated Eagles are ranked second for District 3 Class AA playoff consideration. Hakeem Kinard led the Fighting Irish rushing attack with 96-yards (including touchdowns of 4 and 34-yards), followed by Qua’Shawn Grooms with 26-yards, and Jack Burnside with minus 1-yard. The Mid-Penn Colonial Division’s Polar Bears of Northern York (3-5 overall, 2-3 league) were defeated by the Blue Devils of Green Castle-Antrim (6-2 overall, 3-1 league) 27-9 in league action. James Hines led the Blue Devils rushing attack with 53-yards (including a 2-yard touchdown), followed by Matt Oberholzer with 45 (including touchdowns of 10 and 8-yards), Spencer Meyers with 23 (including a 3-yard touchdown), Tyler graham with 16, Andrew Votral with 6, and Sam Sprague with 7-yards. Kurt Hansen kicked 3 extra points and Sprague intercepted a pass for the Blue Devils. The Blue Devils are currently ranked number 16 for District 3 Class AAA playoff consideration. Only the top 16 teams qualify for the playoffs. Mike Kearney led the Polar Bears rushing attack with 30-yards, followed by Robert Shelly with 25, Curtis Robisom with 1-yard, and Sam Geiser with minus 4-yards.
