The Mustangs of South Western (7-2 overall, 5-1 League) defeated the Bobcats of Northeastern (7-2 overall, 4-2 League) 24-7 in league action. The Mustangs gained 169-yards rushing and 134-yards passing for a total of 303-yards of offense. Senior quarterback Brock Geiman completed 10 of 17 passes for the 134-yards and 3 touchdowns, 2 for 65-yards to Miles Francis, (including touchdowns of 19 and 46-yards), 2 for 26-yards to Corbin Byers, (including an 8-yard touchdown), 2 for 25-yards to Noah Staub, 2 for 10-yards to Zack Hughes, and 2 for 8-yards to Jeff Green, for the Mustangs. Thomas Merkle has completed 142 of 228 passes for 1,978-yards and 21-touchdowns for the season. He has added to his school career passing yardage record, which now stands at 4,935-yards. Merkle has set a new YAIAA career passing yardage record with his 4,935-yards, surpassing the record of 4,894-yards set by Matt Marshall from Spring Grove in 2006. Collin Mailman has set a new school career pass reception record with 102. Dajour Henderson led the Trojans rushing attack with 63-yards (including a 36-yard touchdown), followed by Teague Hoffman with 55 (including touchdowns of 53 and 2-yards), Justin Gettle with 6, Ben Igo with 6, and Jake Taylor with 5-yards. George Hatalowich led the Falcons rushing attack with 116-yards (including touchdowns of 6, 13, and 8-yards), followed by Angel Cruz with 41 (including a 28-yard touchdown), Tommy Klock with 12 (including a 7-yard touchdown), Jackson Atkins with 11, Cole Etchberger with 8, Isaac Ray with 5, Brendan Shaffer with 4-yards, and Jarrod Smith with 1-yard. Quarterback Klock completed 13 of 21 passes for 203-yards, 2 for 56-yards to Smith, 4 for 52-yards to Clay Spencer, 3 for 42-yards to Evan Morrill, 1 for 25-yards to Hatalowich, 1 for 16-yards to Skyler Swartz, 1 for 10-yards to Charlie Fies, and 1 for 2-yards to Will Bowen, for the Falcons. Antonio Heredia kicked a 32-yard field goal and 5 extra points for the Falcons. The Falcons are currently ranked number 5 for District 3 Class AAAA playoff consideration. Michael Jones led the Crusaders rushing attack with 80-yards (including a 10-yard touchdown), followed by Matt Geiger with 17 (including a 22-yard touchdown), Tnyis with 14, Mustafa Blackston with 8, and Tayvon Bowers with 8-yards. Quarterback Bowers completed 14 of 18 passes for 268-yards and 3 touchdowns, 7 for 169-yards to Kobay White (including touchdowns of 66 and 64-yards), 3 for 45-yards to Kevin Lenz, 2 for 40-yards to Bryce Hall (including a 25-yard touchdown), and 2 for 14-yards to Kyree Calli, for the Crusaders. White returned a kickoff 99-yards for a touchdown, Jon Fonner kicked 3 extra points, and Bowers threw a 2-point conversion pass to Calli, for the Crusaders.
