What does your offense need to improve on from last year? |
Offensively we need to run the football consistently, this will help us control the clock and help our defense. We also need to get more diverse in what we do offensively. I think it will help with the players being the second year in this system. We also must play through adverse situations that are bound to happen to an offense during the game. |
What does your defense need to improve on from last year |
Defensively, we need to continue to build on what was started last year. We need to consistently get multiple players to the football and tackle well. We must defend the big play better this year and allow less explosive thoughts. |
What are your overall thoughts on this years team? |
In my time of coaching at Warrior Run as both an assistant and now as the head coach, this is the most amount of seniors we have ever had on a team. This is a year when we hope to improve our record and build some momentum. We have numerous skill kids on this year’s roster that can all make an impact in a game with the ball in their hands. Defensively we are led at the linebacker level and that is the group of players that should be making the most tackles. We need to continue to improve on the scheme and style of play we implemented last year. We must be able to run the football, that and a good defense often go a long way to winning games. |
