LET’S GET TO KNOW TIMOTHY

Why do you play football?

Football is hard. It teaches valuable life lessons to young people. It teaches young individuals how to handle adversity and struggle, and how to push through things that are hard. I love the struggle.

Who is your favorite sports star and WHY?

Marshawn Lynch, from his personality to the way he ran the football the guy was so fun to watch.

Do you have a favorite play you remember the most? Explain:

Freshman year we were playing Towanda at Towanda and before half we ran an off tackle to the left side at about the 20. I just remember feeling like I was in slow motion from the time the ball was snapped all the way until I handed the ref the ball after I scored. Everything slowed down and I watched and felt the play develop differently than I ever had. It was beautiful.

What was last years season like for you?

It was okay. As a team we were very young but we had grit. We fought every play. Definitely did a lot of learning about playing at the varsity level.

What are your goals for this coming season?

I want to make districts as a team and have another thousand yard season.

Who is the best player you ever lined up against?

Davion Hill from Loyalsock. Hill is so fast and so quick. In the open field if you thought you had him you were probably wrong. One second you thought you had him wrapped up and the next he would be gone.

What stadium, HS/college/pro would you love to visit for a game?

Foxboro Stadium.

What is your favorite Pro team, any sport?

New England Patriots

What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why?

2018 AFC championship game between the chiefs and patriots. That game came down to wire and it was such a chess match between two great teams and coaches.

What would you do to improve the recruiting process?

For myself I just have to get out more. I need to start reaching out, posting more highlights, and going to more camps. But above all I have to continue to perform on Friday night.

Describe what the perfect teammate is

Someone who holds you and your teammates accountable, who’s willing to give you everything they’ve got on every down, and someone who will help you up after you get knocked down. Being there for one another is so important.

Tell everyone why you think football is good for a community

Football brings people together and is something to bond over for members of the community. Football teaches players how to be prepared for the adversity of life as-well.

Name one thing that you’d love to do in football that may never happen?

I’d love to hold the National rushing yard record.

Who is your mentor, the person you want to be like? WHY?

Coach Jake Lane. He’s one of the best men I’ve ever met and is always there for all of us on and off the field. He’s been great to be and help guide me on and off the field.

What is your favorite practice drill? What is your least favorite practice drill?

As most do I love Oklahomas. I absolutely hate gassers.

Preseason Two a Days are:

Love them. Doesn’t get much better than grinding for 4+ hours a day with your teammates in the august heat. As a team after preseason you’re more united than you thought you’d ever be.

Is there anyone in your family, besides your parents, you could consider your biggest fan? Who, Why?

My oldest brother Justin O’Neil. He’s always watching my games and asking for recaps. He’s been there since I started playing.

When you aren’t playing, practicing or training for sports, what is your go to activity and why?

I love to fish. It’s such a thrill when you get a nice fish on and even when you’re not catching much sitting by the water with your friends is pretty great too.

What is your favorite football memory to date?

Ice cream after youth games with my family.

What is your favorite play to run?

Off tackle

is a hot dog a sandwich?

Yes

Music of choice:

Rock

Best thing you ever got from a teammate? Why?

One practice I tore a hole in the palm of my glove and tanyon brown went out that night and bought me a beautiful new pair of Nikes. I loved the gift because of the friendship that I got out of it. Tanyon and I became and still are good friends after that

Best Pizza topping?

Pineapple

Which one? Sheetz or Wawa

Sheetz all day

What is your favorite vacation destination?

California

Do you remember what the first football game you saw was?

Super Bowl XLIII between the Steelers and Cardinals
