Head Coach Joe Hanna says “Evan is one of the leaders on our defensive line. He had 64 total tackles (13 for loss) and 2 sacks in 2022. Evan was a honorable mention PHAC Division II All Star at defensive tackle. Evan has worked tirelessly in the weight room this winter and spring and been at all of our off-season workouts. The coaching staff is excited to see him have an even better senior season and become a vocal leader of our team in the 2023 season. (2023 PA Football News All-Academic Team: Bronze) Evan Bloom’s step-father, Bob Vanderwall, is an assistant wrestling coach; Evan is a 189 pound wrestler for our high school”.

Why do you play football?
I love the sport I grew up playing it. It’s been in my family forever.
Who is your favorite sports star and WHY?
Reggie White, He was a dawg as a DT.
Do you have a favorite play you remember the most? Explain:
We played Troy I had 12 tackles and I had 10 tfl
What was last years season like for you?
It was a good learning opportunity coming back from a knee injury.
What are your goals for this coming season?
I hope we can win as a team. Since I was a freshman I wanted to win a district championship.
Who is the best player you ever lined up against?
Haden packer, he was the hardest hitting running back.
What stadium, HS/college/pro would you love to visit for a game?
College Penn State. Pro Lincoln Financial Field
What is your favorite Pro team, any sport?
My favorite football team is the eagles.
What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why?
My first Eagles game they went against the NY Giants and they went into overtime and we won
Describe what the perfect teammate is
Someone who could lift you up feeling down. Someone who has responsibility on the feild, knows there spot and how to play it. Overall a good person
Tell everyone why you think football is good for a community
I think football is good because it helps build brotherhood and friendship. It’s a great team sport and it will make you learn discipline.
Name one thing that you’d love to do in football that may never happen?
I would love to win a state title.
Who is your mentor, the person you want to be like? WHY?
Dylan Bentt he was a leader on the feild. He was a good person and I wrestled with him. I want to end up where he is at now D1 pitt.
What is your favorite practice drill? What is your least favorite practice drill?
My favorite drill in practice is when we run routes. My least favorite is pits.
Preseason Two a Days are:
I think there the best. It shows if you’re committed to the team. It shows what mentality you really have.
Is there anyone in your family, besides your parents, you could consider your biggest fan? Who, Why?
My girlfriend she always has my back. When I’m not feeling good she always telling me to get better and push myself through anything.
When you aren’t playing, practicing or training for sports, what is your go to activity and why?
When I have free time I play some video games.
What is your favorite football memory to date?
When I got my first shot to play. It was against Danville and we needed a turnover and I got a fumble recovery.
What is your favorite play to run?
I’m mostly on defense.

It could be that’s actually a good question.
Music of choice:
I listene to rap. Run this town by kanye pre game song.
Best thing you ever got from a teammate? Why?
Isiah Fenner and he gave me cleats when i forgot.
Best Pizza topping?
Pepperoni

What is your favorite vacation destination?
Probably going to Virginia I went to go wrestle NCHSA
Do you remember what the first football game you saw was?
My first ever football game was on TV I saw the Eagles play but I forget who they were playing.
