From the coach”Chase is a football player – the ultimate compliment that a competitor can receive in this sport. Regardless of the position, Chase excelled last season and was recognized as a 1st Team 4A All-State DB (PA Writers) and 1st Team 4A All State Athlete (PA Coaches Select). Chase recently ran a 10.9 100m dash this past track season, a drastic improvement from last season, so the expectation is that he will be running by defenders and hawking them down all senior season.”

What are your personal goals for the 2024 season?
Personal goals: 1500 AP yards, 100+ tackles, 15+ TDs
What was the high mark of your 2023 season?
The high mark of my 2023 season was my 99-yard touchdown, extra point, and recovery of my own onside kick sequence.
What did you learn from last season that you can use to be a better player this season?
I learned to stay calm throughout the game and take my rehab in-between weeks more seriously.
Where on the field do you believe you are best suited to play?
I believe I am best suited to play at safety on D and in the slot on O because it allows me to use my athleticism the best.
What has been your brightest moment as an athlete, in any sport, at any age?
My brightest moment of my sports career was the 2023 PIAA Track and Field Championships, where I placed 6th in high jump with a 6’5” clearance. and my 4×400 relay team also medaled.
What is the toughest part of practice?
The toughest part of practice for me is conditioning because I push to finish every rep first.
What is the worst weather to play in?
The worst weather to play in by far is rain; it is cold and wet, and it is a whole lot harder to tackle someone when both of you are soaked.
Turf or grass?
Most high schools cannot maintain a grass field, to the point where I would choose grass over turf.
Who is the best player that you have faced in a game, along with the team he played for?
The best player I have played against was Tucker Teats from Selinsgrove.
Would you rather pay your rival to open the season or end the season?
The best player I have played against was Tucker Teats from Selinsgrove.
Where should the state finals be held?
I think the state finals held at CV are good. I don’t like when a stadium feels empty, and you can fill your CV pretty well compared to if you were to play at Lincoln Financial, Beaver, or Heinz, for instance.
After the season is over, if you earn a bid to any of the all-star games, will you play?
If I get the offer to play in any all-star game, I fully plan to play and would love to play one more high school game.
What is the one sport you cannot watch live or on TV?
I can watch any sport live or on TV. I love competition and seeing people compete, no matter what the sport.
What is the one food you won’t eat?
I am one of the pickiest eaters ever, and if I had to pick one thing, I would say pasta.
Outside of sports, what are you doing for fun?
Outside of sports, I like to golf, fish, and be around my friends and family.
