WORDS FROM THE HEAD COACH:

Despite his young age, Chace shows immense promise with his towering athletic frame, posing a formidable threat on both offense and defense lines. Chace’s season ended abruptly last year due to a season ending leg injury. We, as a staff and program, are anticipating his return to the field and look forward to having him back. He has all the potential in the world to dominate the line of scrimmage.

GETTING TO KNOW CHACE:

What is the best part of being a student-athlete at Mifflinburg High School ?
I would say the amazing staff that we have and that everyone in Mifflinburg knows everyone, no one is really left out. Essentially, the brotherhood that we have as teammates and that our coaches truly care about us and want what’s best for us in our lives, on the field, and in classroom.

How long have you been playing football(any level) ?
Since 5th grade and haven’t stopped.

Of all the road games you have played, which stadium had the best overall atmosphere, along with what made it so good ?
My freshman year against Milton, we lost, but it came down to one drive left on offense and the stadium was just roaring. All of the fans were into the game and you couldn’t hear yourself think. This was their military appreciate game and I believe one of their first games in their new stadium.

If the game is on the line, do you want to be on offense or defense ? Explain:
I would rather be on offense. Nothing better than a 2-minute drill to put the game away. Always have trust in the QB.

As an athlete, what has been your biggest achievement ?
Getting a bunch of reps on Varsity as a Freshman with a really good o-line.

What was the high point of the 2023 season ?
Making it to the playoffs even with all of our injuries.

What are you going to miss the most from the class of 2024 ?
Our offensive targets, all we had to do is throw the ball up to Shawn, Kyler, and Troy and one of the three would go and get the ball.

Who is your favorite sports star and why ?
Lane Johnson, he is freaky athletic for how big he is and he just makes grown men look like middle schoolers when they are 1 on 1.

Do you have a favorite play you remember the most ? Explain:
Don’t have a favorite play but any screenplay to the right so I can go get a secondary player(corner/safety).

Who is the best player(s) you have ever lined up against and what team did they play for ?
The best player I have ever lined up against is Emmanuel Ulrich, he played for Mifflinburg when I was a Freshman, he literally would be triple-teamed at practice and would just pick me up off my feet.

What stadium, (HS/College/Pro) would you love to visit for a game ?
Boise State Broncos because of the blue turf.

What is your favorite Pro Sports team(any sport) ? Explain:
Philadelphia Eagles and mostly anything Philly, because I was raised right.

What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why ?
Eagles first Super-Bowl win, it was a moment in history to see a backup QB take down Tom Brady.

What sports movie could you watch every day if you had to pick one, and why ?
The Waterboy, Bobby Boucher is the funniest sports character I have ever seen and it’s just a hilarious movie.

Name one thing you’d love to do in football that may never happen ?
I would love to score a touchdown but, I think I’m just going to be blocking for them.

Name a sport you’d love to play but can’t:
I would love to play Badminton but, I don’t think my school would start a team or have enough schools to have a team.

What is your most embarrassing sports moment ?
Season opener against Midd-West, I was out of shape and really gassed so I asked the QB if we could go on two to get free yards and a break, but I just dove forward on 1 so we lost 5 yards.

When you aren’t playing, practicing, or training for sports, what is your go to activity, and why ?
I love to play Wiffleball with my friends, even though I’m terrible with a bat in my hands, it’s just fun.

Which one, Sheetz, Wawa, or Rutters ? Explain:
Sheetz, no question, it is top-tier. The food is amazing and fast and the MTO’S are fire. Sheetz is a go-to right after a game.

What is your favorite vacation destination ?
My favorite vacation spot is North Carolina, on the nice warm beach.

Tell us something that you have a fear of ?
My biggest fear is re-breaking my leg.

Favorite Fast Food/Burger place and why ?
This is a tough question, I would say Popeyes or Chipotle, either way, you can’t go wrong.

Have you ever been to a professional sports game, which ones ?
I have never been to one…. yet !

NBA, NHL, MLB, NCAAF, NFL, Which league is the best and why ?
NBA, it is the toughest to get into and has some of the best athletes so, the NBA is definitely the best league.

What is your favorite video game, on mobile and or console ?
Clash Royale

What toppings go on your favorite pizza ?
Buffalo Chicken and Ranch

Favorite School Subject ?
My favorite school subject is gym.

Favorite Band/Musician ?
Favorite musician Tyler the Creator.

Airplane, Boat, or Vehicle(motorcycles included), how would you travel and to where ?
Airplane, to the Bahamas, it would be fun.

Name one thing in life(NOT SPORTS RELATED) you would like to achieve:
Find a career path I am interested in and pursue it, and be successful.

Location you think would be the best place to live(ie: island, mountains, city, etc) ? Explain why:
Cities, because everything is just around you, and you don’t have to go to far to get something.
