WORDS FROM THE HEAD COACH:

Michael is going to be our leader on the offensive and defensive line and there is no one else I would want leading those groups.

GETTING TO KNOW MORE ABOUT MICHAEL:

What is the best part of being a student-athlete at Canton High School ?
Seeing all of the people that come out and support our team and support what we do.

How long have you been playing football(any level) ?
I have played football ever since flag football in first grade.

Of all the road games you have played, which stadium had the best overall atmosphere, along with what made it so good ?
I think the best game I have been to with the best atmosphere was at Danville playing Old Forge. I think what made it so good was the the amount of people that were there and how loud it was. For being a single-A team, there were a lot of people there and I think that is what made it so good.

If the game is on the line, do you want to be on offense or defense ? Explain:
I like to be on offense protecting my quarterback. I want to be able to do everything I can to make a play happen and score a touchdown.

As an athlete, what has been your biggest achievement ?
I would say my biggest achievement was when I was a Freshman, I hit an out-of-the-park homerun in baseball.

What was the high point of the 2023 season ?
The high point of our season was winning against South Williamsport in the middle of the season, they were a hard team and had bigger guys than us but we never stopped working hard and pulled out with the win.

What are you going to miss the most from the class of 2024 ?
I am going to miss the leadership that the class of 2024 had and it will be hard to show as much leadership as our Seniors did.

What are your goals for the 2024 season ?
My goal for 2024 is for our team to grow and be better together, win a bunch of games. The younger kids are going to have to step up and see what they can do.

Do you have a favorite play you remember the most ? Explain:
My favorite play is the rig and leg traps, where the linemen pull to the outside. I feel it opens up a big hole for our runners and it feels like it did I good job when it works.

Who is the best player(s) you have ever lined up against and what team did they play for ?
The best player that I have went against is Tyler Spencer, he played for Troy Trojans and it was just a good battle the whole game.

What stadium, (HS/College/Pro) would you love to visit for a game ?
I would love to go watch a baseball game at Fenway Park.

What is your favorite Pro Sports team(any sport) ? Explain:
My favorite sports team is Phillies baseball, because I love watching baseball.

What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why ?
I guess I loved watching the Old Forge game during my Freshman year, we were down and no one thought that we were going to come back.

What sports movie could you watch every day if you had to pick one, and why ?
I would say Remember the Titans because, it shows you that hard works pays off and you can work with anyone no matter what.

Name one thing you’d love to do in football that may never happen ?
I just love the friendship and the close friendships that come out of it. I don’t think you can get a better friendship in any other sport.

Name a sport you’d love to play but can’t:
I would love to golf but the only time I can, is during football season.

What is your most embarrassing sports moment ?
In baseball this year, there was an easy pop fly right on me and I made it look so hard and didn’t catch it.

When you aren’t playing, practicing, or training for sports, what is your go to activity, and why ?
I love to golf because it is so peaceful and relaxing, and is just fun to hit a ball hopefully straight.

Which one, Sheetz, Wawa, or Rutters ? Explain:
Sheetz, because I have always grew up with Sheetz and that is all I know.

What is your favorite vacation destination ?
I love going up into the Adirondack to go camping for a week and be on the boat all week.

Tell us something that you have a fear of ?
Walking in the woods to go to my tree stand in the morning through the woods.

Favorite Fast Food/Burger place and why ?
Love going to Wendy’s, because they are the only place that puts mayo on there burger and it is just better.

Have you ever been to a professional sports game, which ones ?
I went to a Pirates game.

NBA, NHL, MLB, NCAAF, NFL, Which league is the best and why ?
NHL is the best because something is always happening and it is just fun to watch.

What is your favorite video game, on mobile and or console ?
I love playing Farming Simulator.

What toppings go on your favorite pizza ?
Pineapple and Pepperoni

AP Environmental Science

Favorite Band/Musician ?
Luke Combs

Airplane, Boat, or Vehicle(motorcycles included), how would you travel and to where ?
Airplane, and I would go out west and go on a ski trip.

Name one thing in life(NOT SPORTS RELATED) you would like to achieve:
Be able to support my family and spoil my kids.

Location you think would be the best place to live(ie: island, mountains, city, etc) ? Explain why:
I’d love living in the mountains with a whole bunch of land to hunt and do stuff with.
