WORDS FROM THE HEAD COACH:

Chase is an outstanding leader & competitor. He works extremely hard & is always trying to perfect his craft. As a WR, he has outstanding ball skills & a great ability to go up & get the ball. At FS, he has great instincts & is a solid tackler. Last year he was one of our only 2-way players. Chase is also a great student. Twin brothers, have a special segment on our school news (WKMC-TV) called Matt & Chase Try.

What is the best part of being a student-athlete at MCA High School ?
The fans and how much everyone in the town cares about football.

How long have you been playing football(any level) ?
10 years.

What is it like having a twin brother playing on the same team ?
It is pretty cool playing with him and it provides a built-in-person to compete and push yourself with.

Of all the road games you have played, which stadium had the best overall atmosphere, along with what made it so good ?
Shamokin has the best atmosphere because it’s the Coal Bucket Game. When you look in the bleachers, there is not a single spot open on both sides.

If the game is on the line, do you want to be on offense or defense ? Explain:
I rather be on defense because I believe our team is made for defensive stands at the end of the game.

As an athlete, what has been your biggest achievement ?
When we beat Southern Columbia my Sophomore year for the first time since 2011.

What was the high point of the 2023 season ?
When we beat Southern Columbia in the regular season.

What are you going to miss the most from the class of 2024 ?
I’m gonna miss them because I’ve been friends and playing sports with them my whole life.

What are your goals for the 2024 season ?
State Championship !

Who is your favorite sports star and why ?
Bryce Harper, because he always comes through when the Phillies need him.

Do you have a favorite play you remember the most ? Explain:
When I had the game winning interception against North Schuylkill my Sophomore year.

Who is the best player(s) you have ever lined up against and what team did they play for ?
Gavin Garcia, he played for Southern Columbia.

What stadium, (HS/College/Pro) would you love to visit for a game ?
Beaver Stadium for the White-Out.

What is your favorite Pro Sports team(any sport) ? Explain:
The Phillies because they play almost everyday and they are just a fun team to watch.

What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why ?
2016 Penn State White Out when they beat Ohio State and Grant Hailey returned the blocked FG for the win.

What sports movie could you watch every day if you had to pick one, and why ?
Remember the Titans, because it’s just a really good movie and I’ve always enjoyed watching it.

Name one thing you’d love to do in football that may never happen ?
I would love to catch a TD from my brother.

Name a sport you’d love to play but can’t:
Lacrosse

What is your most embarrassing sports moment ?
When I was pole vaulting, I fell back on the runway.

When you aren’t playing, practicing, or training for sports, what is your go to activity, and why ?
Hanging out with my friends.

Sheetz, because their food is just better.

What is your favorite vacation destination ?
Stone Harbor, NJ.

Tell us something that you have a fear of ?
A season ending injury.

I’ve been to a Sixers, Flyers, and Phillies games.

NBA, NHL, MLB, NCAAF, NFL, Which league is the best and why ?
NFL, because football is my favorite sport to watch and Fantasy football just makes it better too.

NCAA Football 14

Bacon

To open my own Accounting Firm.

Location you think would be the best place to live(ie: island, mountains, city, etc) ? Explain why:
I would like to live in a farm area because I would like it to be more peaceful than a city.
