Why do you play football?

I play football because it consistently demands your absolute best every single day no matter how you’re feeling. I also enjoy playing football because of the countless bonds I’ve formed while playing the game.

It’s gameday! What are you looking forward to the most?

Ik most looking forward to the atmosphere and putting on a show with my friends. Anytime we have a big play or we have a clutch stop, I always love hearing the crowd roar and really get into it.

Who is your favorite sports star and WHY?

My favorite sports star is Tim Tebow because he was a great college athlete who was also able to spread the gospel through his successes, which is very admirable and respectable.

Do you have a favorite play you remember the most? Explain:

One of my favorite plays was a Third and nine against south Williamsport, we needed a big play in order to not punt, and we just had gotten stuffed two plays in a row. I then got the ball and was immediately hit by 2 of souths defensive lineman, but instead of getting tackled, I churned my feet for 12 yards and got the first down while carrying them with me. It was one of my favorite plays because it represents my style of running very well, where I might not always be the flashy juking running back, but I can always get what’s needed from me.

What was last years season like for you?

Last season was a very unique season for me. We had just moved from Southern Columbia, so I had come onto this team as an unknown person. However, through the weeks, I was able to create bonds I would’ve never expected. We were able to make it to the 4th district championship in school history before falling short to Line Mountain. Last years season has only fueled me and my team for this upcoming season.

What are your goals for this coming season?

My main goal is to win a state championship. I believe our team has all of the tools possible to complete it, we just need to preach it daily and continue to strive for that goal.

Who is the best player you ever lined up against?

The best player I lined up against was Zakeem Clinton from shamokin during a 7v7.

When the game is on the line, which college/professional coach would you like to call in the play?

I want Chris Petersen to call in the play because of his great playcalling during the 2007 fiesta bowl

What stadium, HS/college/pro would you love to visit for a game?

Air Force Falcons

What is your favorite Pro team, any sport?

Seattle Seahawks

What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why?

Favorite game I watched was Penn state vs Ohio State in 2016 when Grant Haley returned the football for the game winning touchdown.

What sports movie would you watch every day if you had to pick one and why?

I would watch the Watervoy because it was really one of the first football movies I ever watched and it’s funny.

If your mom and dad are screaming at you from the stands, what is it they usually yell?

My mom is most definitely yelling “Go Josh!” or “Come on!” Because those are two of her signature phrases no matter the sport

Name one thing that you’d love to do in football that may never happen?

I would love to rush for a game winning touchdown and just hear the crowd.

Who is your mentor, the person you want to be like? WHY?

I want to be like my dad because he has been a role model for me since I was very little. He is a very selfless man who is willing so sacrifice anything in order to see me succeed.

Name a sport you’d love to play but can’t:

Water polo

What is your most embarrassing sports moment?

We were playing warrior run, and the quarterback threw a pass right to me, and it hit both of my hands and slipped right through.

If you could only drive one car for the rest of your life, what would it be?

BMW M4 COMP

When you aren’t playing, practicing or training for sports, what is your go to activity and why?

My go to activity is definitely fishing because I find it relaxing and it isn’t a very strenuous activity. I also like to spend time with friends around a campfire and just talk about life.

What is your favorite football memory to date?

My favorite football memory was definitely when we beat south and I got an interview on the news.

What is your favorite play to run?

Blue 83 Belly

What scares you the most?

Snakes

Music of choice:

White girl music or rock

What is the most food you ever ate in one sitting?

I once ate 6 bowls of chicken gnocchi soup, 3 bowls of fettuccine Alfredo, 8 breadsticks, and about 6 chocolates from Olive Garden

What restaurant is your go to when you need a big meal?

Wendy’s

What is your favorite vacation destination?

Captiva and Sanibel Island

Do you remember what the first football game you saw was?

The very first football game I can remember was my cousin winning a State Championship for southern against aliquippa.
