Danville Breezes by Lewisburg to advance to 5-1 on the season

The ironmen’s defense steps up in the first quarter, as Cole Duffy intercepts Derek Asche’s throw. The Ironman then gain a 7-0 lead after Bo Sheptock punches one into the end zone. The Danville defense stops the dragons’ offense after he also secures an interception of his own.
Madden Patrick gets sacked by Jack Blough, which also makes Danville punt. The Ironmen then recover the ball when Lewisburg knocks it off of the player’s chest plate. A sack is recorded by Andrew Smith at the conclusion of the first period
Danville scores fast in the second quarter when Madden Patrick throws a touchdown to Cole Duffy. The Ironmen choose to onside kick the ball during the kickoff, and it worked out well for them.
Chase Miller and Lincoln Diehl of Danville both force the quarterback out of the pocket and sack him. Danville’s running back Bo Sheptock scored his second rushing touchdown, giving them a 21-0 lead at the half.
For the Ironmen, Aaron Johnson finds his rhythm in the third quarter and scores a receiving touchdown on a pass from Madden Patrick. Then Aaron Johnson returns and scores another touchdown receiving from Madden Patrick, giving him two for the evening.
Caleb Fowler, a top defender for Danville, records a tackle for a loss. To end the third quarter, Lewisburg’s number 23 Ryan Opperman intercepts a ball from Madden Patrick, giving Danville a 35-0 lead.
Danville’s offense drained the clock in the fourth quarter by mostly rushing the ball on every drive. The Danville defense was on top of everything in the fourth quarter, which contributed to Lewisburg’s offensive slump.
On 4th and 2, Cohen Hoover of Lewisburg makes a field goal to add three points. Danville won the game by running out the remaining time, improving to 5-1 overall while Lewisburg dropped to 2-4.
