Henry Hynoski steps down at Shamokin, Marc Persing begins new era for Indians

Henry Hynoski has announced he has resigned as the Shamokin head football coach and has accepted the job as principal at his alma mater, Southern Columbia. Taking over for the Indians will be former Lewisburg head coach Marc Persing (pending school board meeting this Monday). Persing resigned from Lewisburg in 2020 while he was teaching in the Shamokin school district. His wish was to get a position in the Lewisburg district but that never happened. Persing finished 18-24 over four seasons at Lewisburg.
