At the end of the first quarter, the PIAA District Four semifinal between the Wildcats and Lancers the score was Loyalsock 7 Mifflinburg 0, the Lancers had just stopped the “Cats scoring threat at the 4. Then something happened. Both teams started to score. They scored a lot. Davion Hill ran a lot (over 200 yards), Tyler Gee threw a lot (6 td passes), Troy Dressler threw a lot (433 yards, 4 tds), and both teams got into the endzone a lot. But it was Jaylen Andrews who really went off, and he caught a lot of passes (7 for 244 yards and 5 for td, he also ran a kickoff back 75 yards), Loyalsock got there more times though, and outlasted the Wildcast for the win, 69-42. The Lancers with face Danville in a long awaited rematch of the battle they had earlier this season.
The first score was indicative of the type of day Hill would have:

Hill it seemed, broke tackles or found himself wide open several times throughout the day. With the score 7-0, Mifflinburg got stopped at the 4 yard line on fourth down but several plays later a defender ripped the ball our of a Lancer players hands to give the ball back to the Cats on the 15. Troy Dressler hit Andrew Diehl for the td to make it 7-6. That’s when the flood gates opened.

It took one play, a play that was quite frankly one of the craziest I’ve seen all year, a short pass from Gee to Hill that turned into a zig zagging run to the endzone to put Sock back up 14-6.
Wow. One play and Davion Hill goes crazy on the wildcats with @tyler_gee01 and a crazy 65 yard Td 14-6 @sockathletics pic.twitter.com/bzUEyD5V3w

It was all downhill from there. Turnovers played a key for each team all game long. Sock turned the ball over on their next drive, Mifflinburg capitalized and got the two for the tie at 14 with 6:06 left in the half. After exchanging turnovers, Gee hit Andrews for a 50 yard td pass to go up 21-14 with 2:02 left in the half. The Lancers got a stop and on fourth down Gee tossed a hail mary to Andrews. The lenky wide receiver outbattled two defenders for the score as the gun sounded. Sock took what seemed like a comfortable lead into the break.

The Lancers opened the second half with a 29 yard td run by Hill, but the Cat’s kept it close by returning the favor with a TD pass from Dressler to Chad Martin to make it 35-21 Sock at the 6:55 mark of the third quarter, a quarter that would last over an hour. Turnover kept plaguing the Wildcats and Mifflinburg pulled away in the third quarter to get the win.
