Shamokin Winning Season Continues
In the first quarter Shamokin’s Zakem Clinton punches it in for the rushing touchdown completing a 62 yard drive.
To open the 2nd quarter Chase Pensyl takes it in for the touchdown to put Shamokin up 14-0. Williamsport then answers with a touchdown of there own after Elijah Way scores the 5 yard quarterback keeper and the extra point attempt is blocked by number 11 Kaidin Parker. On the next drive Williamsport’s number 25 Samir Williams gets a interception. With 45 seconds left before halftime Logan Steele slings a 63 yard touchdown pass to Chase Pensyl. Going into the half Shamokin leads 21-6.
Shamokin punts on fourth and 4 to begin the third quarter, but the punt is blocked. Williamsport, however, was unable to score a touchdown and successfully kicks a field goal. After tripping and staying upright, Zakem Clinton dives into the end zone to score his second touchdown of the game on the ground.
Samir Williams, number 25, makes a crucial interception and return in the fourth quarter to put Williamsport’s offense in a strong position.After this point, Williamsport’s offense moved down the field and threw a touchdown pass to Kyreek Bradshaw, number three. Shamokin then utilizes their run game to win the remaining minutes of the fourth quarter.
