Cody Kimmel’s play at linebacker was one of the keys to that deep playoff run for the Mountaineers in 2022. It also key to the amazing 8 shut out wins they had. This season the Mountaineers will once again look to Kimmel as a leader. Head coach Doug Paul says Cody is a “sideline to sideline MLB”.

Why do you play football?
it creates a brotherhood like no other. and it challenges me physically and mentally
Who is your favorite sports star and WHY?
Troy Polumolu, because he was he is great on and off the field
Do you have a favorite play you remember the most? Explain:
When me and pace created the fumble at windber and the stadium went crazy.
What was last years season like for you?
Super Memorable because we had eight shut outs and and undefeated regular season along with winning the last Appalachian bowl and westpac championship

Be better than the previous year

What stadium, HS/college/pro would you love to visit for a game?
Arrowhead stadium.
What is your favorite Pro team, any sport?
pittsburgh steelers
What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why?
When we played windber this past fall, because we played phenomenal.
What sports movie would you watch every day if you had to pick one and why?
facing the giants, because it shows that with faith anything is possible
If your mom and dad are screaming at you from the stands, what is it they usually yell?
Dad-“cmon BOY!” mom-“let’s go boys!”

Who is your mentor, the person you want to be like? WHY?
My mentors are Braden Fochtman and Dante Paul because they push me to be a better version of my self everyday.

my little cousin, colt, and my family friend, Sophia…. they are my biggest fans because they get pictures every game and make me little signs with my name on it.

farm, we live on a farm and it what i do for work
