WORDS FROM THE HEAD COACH:

Zach has overcome some adversity this past winter. He broke an ankle at the beginning of Wrestling season and has worked very hard to get back on his feet. He is doing well in track and is working hard to develop his footwork to become a force at Offensive Guard and Defensive Line.

What is the best part of being a student-athlete at Everett High School ?
The best part about being a student athlete at Everett High School is the support the school gives to its athletes.

How long have you been playing football (any level) ?
I have played football since first grade so, eleven years and counting.

Of all the road games you have played, which stadium had the best overall atmosphere, along with what made it so good ?
I think that of all the road games that I have played, the stadium that has had the best overall atmosphere was Berlin last year. There was a level of respect for the game that was evident by the attitude of the fans and their athletes.

If the game is on the line, do you want to be on offense or defense ? Explain:
I think that I would want to be on defense because making a play becomes that much more important.

As an athlete, what has been your biggest achievement ?
As an athlete, a big achievement I had was working myself into a starting position on the defensive line my Freshman year.

What was the high point of the 2023 season ?
I think that ending on a big win against Claysburg is a high point that we will carry into this season.

What are you going to miss the most from the class of 2024 ?
I think that I will miss Rylan Murdock’s tenacity and ability to make plays on defense.

What are your goals for the 2024 season ?
My goal is to leave the 2024 season without any regret. To play my absolute best and expect the best of every player on my team. To lead by example.

Who is your favorite sports star and why ?
My favorite sports star is TJ Watt. I enjoy watching him never give up on making a play.

Do you have a favorite play you remember the most ? Explain:
A favorite play I had was last year against Tussey Mountain, I had a hunch that I should shift into a different gap. That intuition paid off and I ended up getting through the line unblocked and making a big play which energized my team. It was the hit of the week on local television.

Who is the best player(s) you have ever lined up against and what team did they play for ?
The best football player I have ever lined up against is our six-foot six lineman coach, Coach Jason Musselman.

What stadium, (HS/College/Pro) would you love to visit for a game ?
I went to Heinz Field for a game once and I would love the chance to do it again.

What is your favorite Pro Sports team(any sport) ? Explain:
My favorite pro-sports team is the Pittsburgh Steelers, because they have a great history of having a great defense and successful program.

What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why ?
I enjoyed watching the October 23, 2021 game between the Illinois Fighting Illini and Penn State Nittany Lions, which went to nine overtimes, proceeding to break records as the longest college football game in history.

What sports movie could you watch every day if you had to pick one, and why ?
One sports movie that I thought was inspirational was the movie Greater, because this movie focuses on the journey of a Christian lineman and shows that with hard work and determination one can reach their goals.

Name one thing you’d love to do in football that may never happen?
One thing I would love to do is score a pick-six.

What is your most embarrassing sports moment ?
When I was given the opportunity to carry the football in a JV game, and I ran to the wrong side.

When you aren’t playing, practicing, or training for sports, what is your go to activity, and why ?
I like to improve things and make them more efficient.

Which one, Sheetz, Wawa, or Rutters ? Explain:
I prefer Rutter’s, because they have better quality gas.

What is your favorite vacation destination ?
The Ark Encounter in Williamstown, KY.

If you were handed a lot of money, what would be the first thing you would do with it ?
If I were handed a lot of money, I think that I would probably use it for college or a car.

Tell us something that you have a fear of ?
Big wasps and hornets.

Favorite Fast Food/Burger place and why ?
Chick-Fil-A, the waffle fries.

Have you ever been to a professional sports game, which ones ?
I have been to a Pittsburgh Steelers professional football game.

NBA, NHL, MLB, NCAAF, NFL, Which league is the best and why ?
I love the game of football so naturally the NFL is my favorite pro sports league.

What is your favorite video game, on mobile and or console ?
I love playing Madden.

What toppings go on your favorite pizza ?
Pepperoni

Reading or Math

Petra

Airplane, Boat, or Vehicle (motorcycles included), how would you travel and to where ?
I think it would be cool to backpack the Appalachian Trail.

Name one thing in life(NOT SPORTS RELATED) you would like to achieve:
I would like to be known as a man of God.

Location you think would be the best place to live(ie: island, mountains, city, etc) ? Explain why:
The ideal place to live would be a nice secluded hollow or a mountain overlooking the beauty of creation.
