BG played the Bedford Bison at Bedford Friday Night, and lost by a score of 28-10. The Marauders head into the playoffs with a first round bye, with a record of 6-4 on the year. They hold the fourth seed in their playoff pool.
To begin the game BG got off to a great start, with WR/DB Dominick Yanoshak recovering an all around botched punting attempt in the end zone for a score. BG added a field goal to score board, making the score 10-0 to begin the game.
Despite pinning the Bison within the ten yard line multiple times thanks to Deven Wyandt’s punting performance, and BG’s incredible effort on both sides of the ball, the Bison moved the ball consistently. They went on the score 28 unanswered points.
However, BG fought every inch of the way, with players like FB/LB Drew Abraham and TE/DE Noah Ritchey fighting through the adversity. The Marauders showed flashes of greatness throughout the game, with QB Karson Kiesewetter doing his best to extend plays and to push the ball down the field.
Despite the loss, BG’s season is as alive as ever, and they nevertheless have a first round bye. The Marauders will face a TBD opponent in the second round of the 2021 playoffs.
