Windber (8-3) @ Northern Bedford (11-0) (Somerset HS) – 7:00 pm

Rematch. The first meeting between these two teams didn’t end well for the Ramblers. Garry Black’s Panthers breezed to a 35-6 win that night. It wasn’t a massive outpouring of offense for NBC, but it was a good night for QB Eion Snider. He accounted for 255 of the teams 400+ yards. The Ramblers will need to find a way to slow down the elusive Snider and get pressure on him, without giving up the deep ball.  This is a Panther team that is hitting on all cylinders and is battle tested. Winder is traditionally a run first team, but Tanner Barkley has been tossing the ball around quite a bit this year. Look for the Ramblers to get things moving quickly or it could be a long night.

Berlin-Brothersvalley (10-1) @ Westinghouse (9-0) (Somerset HS) – 7:00 pm

Another rematch, only this is a rematch from the playoffs in 2022. That game didn’t go so well for the Mountaineers as Westinghouse threw all over them to the tune of a 59-7 win. Can Berlin compete this year? There’s no way they can turn the ball over like they did last year. Four turnovers early on was a hole they couldn’t dig out of. Pace Prosser is going to need to protect the ball and make smart choices when throwing. He’s tossed the ball for over 1,400 yards and 19 tds but he’s also thrown 11 interceptions. Same for the ground game. Cody Kimmel, Aidan Ream, Cooper Huston and Prosser have all run for over 400 yards and they too will have to protect the rock. For the House, they aren’t the sling it deep and hope team they were last year. They’re a solid team on offense led by Khalil Green. As he goes, so do the as of yet untested Bulldogs. TyJuane Abram is also dangerous with the ball. The Bulldogs have a fast, hard hitting defense that can make the plays needed to keep their offense on the field.
