What does your offense need to improve on from last year?
We need to improve on our run game at all levels. We were just shy of 1,000 yards for the season in 2018, that’s not good enough. We had a lot of dropped passes during each game that cost us 1st downs or TD’s. We have to catch the ball and make the first defender miss.
What does your defense need to improve on from last year
We gave up too many BIG plays in 2018 in our pass coverage. We did pretty well with handling the run game but we got burnt on a lot of deep balls.
What are your overall thoughts on this years team?
We have a great group of kids coming into the 2019 season. They have been working hard in the off season in the weight room, attending field workouts, and attending 7 on 7 and Big Man Challenges at PSU and Pitt. If they keep a positive attitude this team will challenge a lot of teams this year in the Mt. League. I’m excited to get to work with this group of guys and look forward to see what they can do this season.
