Committed to Harvard

Why did you choose Harvard? What went into your decision?

Going into the recruiting process, I wasn’t overly focused on the Ivy League. However, that completely changed after my first visit to Harvard with my Mom in February. I was extremely impressed by the character of every person in their program.

Every Coach on the staff made me feel at home the second I stepped foot on campus. We also spent a lot of time with the players. They were outgoing and genuine the entire day, and I could see myself being a teammate with any player I had the chance to meet.

I also chose Harvard because the academics are truly unmatched, and I was blown away by the opportunities provided to players not only during their time at Harvard, but also after graduation.

Athletically, Harvard football has a ton of tradition and I love the culture that they continue to grow as a program.

Ultimately, I want to be challenged in as many ways as possible and Harvard was the place where I could achieve that. My official visit reinforced my experience from the first visit and then some. There’s no place that I felt more like home!

Who recruited you at Harvard? How did that coach affect your decision?

Coach Kennedy was my area recruiting Coach from Harvard and we met in-person for the first time on my February visit. He took the time to introduce my Mom and I to the Coaches and to many players. During my recruitment, he was always there to answer my questions with a straightforward response. After my official visit, I was able to see for myself that everything Coach Kennedy was portraying to me was true. I couldn’t be more grateful for the time he spent to make my recruiting process a great experience.

How was your recruiting experience?

I had a great recruiting experience and had the chance to meet a lot of awesome Coaches as well as learn about several amazing college programs. I’m relieved to be committed now- especially because I can be 100% focused on my senior year and senior season with my teammates and Coaches at State College Football!!

Why do you play football?

I play football because I love the game, it challenges me to be the best version of myself, and it has opened up opportunities for my college education.

What has been your best memory?

Coming back to beat Harrisburg in the playoffs this past season.

Who is your biggest fan and why?

My family. My parents and both of my sisters support me in all of my sports and I’m grateful to have them watching me throughout each season.

Who is your biggest role model?

My parents. They work so hard for me and support me in everything I do, I hope to be a positive role model like my Mom and Dad have always been for me.

What is your desired major in college?

Business

In your opinion, where is the toughest place to play?

Memorial Field, our student section shows out!

What is your personal goal for this year?

To help my team win the State Championship.

Is a hot dog a sandwich?

Yes

Sport you’d love to play but can’t?

Swimming

Most embarrassing sports moment?

We were playing Cumberland Valley in the Beaver Stadium Classic during the 2019 season. I was a freshman, and Coach had sent me out on the onside kick-return team. CV squibbed the ball right to me, I recovered it, and I was so pumped up that I had mistaken Coach Lintal’s congratulations as a wave into the huddle. I joined the starting offense, and it wasn’t until I had run back on the field in front of 5,000+ fans that I realized I wasn’t supposed to be out there. My onside kick recovery ended up being 5 yards back from the original spot due to a penalty for too many players on the field.
