LET’S GET TO KNOW JACKSON

Why do you play football?

I play football to win and to win with my team and to be able to share everything I do with them on and off the field. I play to be with my friends and to have a great time competing with them for the same goal.

It’s gameday! What are you looking forward to the most?

Going onto the field for pregame and getting locked in

Who is your favorite sports star and WHY?

I really like Drew Brees because of the respect he had for the game and with that the respect he was given. He was always able to lift up his teammates and he held them accountable and made sure when they make a mistake he corrects it so it won’t happen again.

Do you have a favorite play you remember the most? Explain:

My favorite play was catching a touchdown in the second round of playoffs to help beat Bald Eagle and go on to the district championship. It’s my favorite because it shows versatility and can bring different aspects to the game.

What was last years season like for you?

Last years season went really well. We started off 3-0 and lost the next two in a row. After that second loss we really put ourselves together and went on to win the next 7 games in a row until losing in the district championship. We had a record of 10-3.

What are your goals for this coming season?

Our goals for this coming season are to make it to the district championship again and to win this time. We want to build on the successes we had last year and will strive to make that happen

Who is the best player you ever lined up against?

I would say either Oliver Billote or Griffin LaRue who both now play Division I football for Kent State and Robert Morris.

What stadium, HS/college/pro would you love to visit for a game?

High school I would visit and stadium in Texas where football is huge and they have huge high school stadiums. Other than Penn State for college it would be cool to visit a Tennessee game to experience the atmosphere there. Pro would definitely be a Philadelphia Eagles game

What is your favorite Pro team, any sport?

Philadelphia Eagles

What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why?

In 2016 when Penn State beat Ohio State. It was a fight the whole game and neither team gave up but Penn State was able to have a great special teams touchdown which helped win the game

What sports movie would you watch every day if you had to pick one and why?

Remember the Titans because it shows how you can come together as a team to be great at football and I just love the movie

Name one thing that you’d love to do in football that may never happen?

Play for a big Division I school

Who is your mentor, the person you want to be like? WHY?

I grew up with Aaron Tobias and watching him constantly work to be as great of a football player he can be and how crazy work ethic is why I want to be like him. He would throw with me in the summer and help me improve my skills as a quarterback and motivate me to be the best I can be and he will sometimes message me before our games to wish me luck.

Name a sport you’d love to play but can’t:

Hockey

What is your most embarrassing sports moment?

I was about to score a touchdown but while I was running one of my lineman ram in front of me to block and I tripped on his foot and fell.

Is there anyone in your family, besides your parents, you could consider your biggest fan? Who, Why?

All of my siblings but definitely my brother. He comes to all of my games home and away and will call me after to talk about it

When you aren’t playing, practicing or training for sports, what is your go to activity and why?

I love fishing with my friends. It’s fun and relaxing and spending time with friends is always a great time

What is your favorite football memory to date?

Coming back and beating Tyrone on homecoming when we were down by 14 at halftime and then scored 3 touchdowns in the 4th quarter

What is your favorite play to run?

Colorado because someone is always open and a lot of the time we score on it

What restaurant is your go to when you need a big meal?

Applebees

What is your favorite vacation destination?

Block Island where my family and I go to the beach
