Coach says: “Stephen is a 3 year starter on offense and defense. On offense he will play a variety of positions including QB, RB, & WR. Stephen excels when the ball is in his hands and his versatility makes him invaluable on offense. He was voted a team captain last year as a junior which is a rare occurrence. Stephen also lines up at CB on defense. He is an unselfish leader who always puts the team ahead of his individual goals. Stephen is an extremely hard worker who is a great team leader”.

Why do you play football?

I love the sport and I love to go out onto the field to compete every opportunity I get.

Who is your favorite sports star and WHY?

Andrew Mccutchen because I am a huge Pirates fan and he was the guy I always grew up watching so he is my favorite sports star.

Do you have a favorite play you remember the most? Explain:

The first play of last year’s D6 championship. It was a toss pass so I caught the pitch and threw a fade to my cousin Hunter. It was an awesome to start the game with a 45 yard completion in such an important game and it is certainly one I will never forget.

What was last years season like for you?

Truly incredible. Going into the season no one believed in us so to have a good season and win the first D6 title in cambria heights history was awesome.

What are your goals for this coming season?

I want to be better than I was last year and help my team win any way I can

Who is the best player you ever lined up against?

Lou Swartz

What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why?

I like watching over our game against Northern Cambria in the playoffs because it brings back so many good memories every time I watch it.

Describe what the perfect teammate is

Someone who works hard, is unselfish, and is easily coachable.

Tell everyone why you think football is good for a community

Football brings a community together. For example, every time we have a home game, the entire Cambria Heights community comes out to support us which brings everyone together.

Name one thing that you’d love to do in football that may never happen?

Play at the Penn State white out game.

Who is your mentor, the person you want to be like? WHY?

My dad because I have always looked up to him. He is a hard worker, very thoughtful, determined, and he is always there to support me. I want to be just like him when I am older.

What is your favorite practice drill? What is your least favorite practice drill?

favorite – skelly pass / least favorite – running

Preseason Two a Days are: 

Fun and exciting because it marks the beginning of football season

When you aren’t playing, practicing or training for sports, what is your go to activity and why?

Golfing because it is a way to relax with my friends.

What is your favorite play to run?

a quick pitch
