Lets get to know Fletcher!
Why do you play football?
Football is just fun, you just go out there and score. Making plays in front of your community is the best feeling.
Who is your favorite sports star and WHY?
I would have to say Saquon. The way he handles himself on and off the field sets him apart from other athletes and I just see him as someone you can look up to.
Do you have a favorite play you remember the most? Explain:
It would have to be Sophomore year in the first game of the season against Bellewood-Antis, I took the opening kickoff 95 yards to the house for a touchdown.
What was last years season like for you?
It was brutal, we went 1-9 losing by blowouts in almost every game. It was a learning season for sure.
What are your goals for this coming season?
Show everyone we aren’t the same team as last year and I want to win, and do whatever it takes to win.
Who is the best player you ever lined up against?
I would have to say Hamilton Gates from BG, or Brady Collin’s from Clearfield. Both are just beasts, Hamilton was shifty and Brady was just an absolute tank, take him low or youre getting run over.
What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why?
I would have to say Penn State vs Ohio State 2016, Blocked field goal for touchdown it was a crazy game.
Describe what the perfect teammate is
I would have to say someone who leads by example not necessarily with there voice always but by the way they play. I want someone who will do whatever it takes to win.
Tell everyone why you think football is good for a community
I feel like it can just bring everyone together. I feel like for the students it’s just a great time to cheer on the team and hangout with your friends.
Name one thing that you’d love to do in football that may never happen?
Play D1
Who is your mentor, the person you want to be like? WHY?
I would say probably my mom or my dad because they have always been the people I look up to and I just can always rely on them.
What is your favorite practice drill? What is your least favorite practice drill?
My favorite drill has to be anything 1 on 1, I don’t care if i’m on defense or offense it’s just fun. My least favorite would have to be kickoff drill. It’s just so much running.
Preseason Two a Days are:
Fun. People talk about Two a Days like they are terrible. I mean the heat is terrible but ultimately I think they are just a lot of fun, you get to eat food, hangout with your friends and play football. nothing beats that.
Is there anyone in your family, besides your parents, you could consider your biggest fan? Who, Why?
I think it would have to be my twin brother. I’m his favorite target, I make him look good so he has to support me.
When you aren’t playing, practicing or training for sports, what is your go to activity and why?
Hanging out with my friends, playing some pickup basketball at my house or just swimming in the pool.
What is your favorite play to run?
I love go balls, so any play where I get a go ball.
What is your favorite vacation destination?
The Beach
