A battle for 8-0, Richland Rams ends Penn Cambria’s win streak (gallery)

The Richland Rams remain undefeated at 8-0 by defeating the Penn Cambria Panthers 49-42.

Penn Cambria would score first on the opening drive of the game to make the score 6-0 after a missed extra point. But Richland answered back quickly to make it 7-6

Panthers next possession was halted and Richland would score two more times to make it 21-6. But the Panthers would claw their way back and going into the locker room at half time only down by 2 points by a score of 21-19

Richland would open the second half after taking the kick off and marching down to go up 28-19. And would pick off Penn Cambria’s Garret Harrold and convert that into another Touchdown to go up 35-19.

The Panthers would compose themselves and keep working till Garret Harrold found Luke Shaugis in the endzone to close the gap again at 35-27 with 27 seconds left in the 3rd quarter.

With 9:54 left in the game Richland would drive down and score again to make it 42 -27.

in the end The Richland Rams would keep control and the Panthers just couldn’t hold on enough to get ahead. The onside kick failed and the Rams just need to run the clock to close out the game and defeat the Panthers 49-42
