Carson Nagle found Wyatt Spackman coming across the middle of the line, threw the ball and Spackman did the rest by dashing 10 yards to paydirt to secure the double overtime win.  Nagle ended the game with 4 td passes and surpassed 100 td passes for his career. “We had a run called and they gave us cover zero. Our OC noticed they weren’t covering the tight end leaking out so we checked the play at the line and it ended up working out for us” said coach Jesse Nagle.

Bald Eagle Area (4-4) scored first with a  Nagle 48-yard touchdown pass to Grady Fisher in the first quarter. The play was Nagle’s 100th career TD pass. Daniel Porter made it 7-6 with a five yard run. Spackman had his second td reception in the second quarter with a 35 yard td catch and run to make it 14-6. Johnstown came back with a five yard run by Raheem Braswell and they converted the 2 pointer to tie the game. Neither team scored in the third quarter. Greater Johnstown took its first lead in the fourth quarter when Julius Reed ran up the middle, broke loose and went 51 yards for a touchdown to make it 20-14. Carnell Noone completes a 56 yard td pass from Nagle to force OT.

The Eagles took a 26-20 on a three yard td run by Nagle to start overtime. Reed hit Kaleem Taylor to force the second OT and BEA’s defense held Johnstown on downs. Greater Johnstown travels to Bedford next Friday. Bald Eagle Area hosts Bellwood-Antis.
