On a beautiful Friday night, BEA racked up 466 yards of total offense behind Junior QB Garrett Burns and cruised to a big 46-8 victory last night in Wingate.

Huntingdon got on the board first as Sr Darin Harman, intercepted a Burns pass at the 8 yard line and raced 92 yards to the end zone to give the Bearcats the first score of the evening. A missed PAT made the score 6-0 which held until 10:50 in the second quarter when Burns raced 41 yards up the middle on a QB draw and Carter Stere added the extra point to make the score 7-6.

BEA then went on a tare behind Burns as the signal caller scored again 32 seconds later after a recovered on sides kick this time from 3 yards out. Burns then added two touchdown passes before the half, one a 77 yarder to Owen Irvin, and the second an 18 yard strike to Cameron Watkins. Huntingdon added a safety with 37 seconds left on a botched punt attempt. BEA held a 26-8 lead going into the half and a big 275-51 total yards advantage.

The 2nd half was all Bald Eagle as Burns scored again with 6:15 to go in the third quarter from 2 yards out. The scoring was rounded out in the 4th quarter as Hayden Vaughn and Max Yetsko both reached pay dirt to give the Eagles a 46-8 victory over a very young Bearcat football squad.

Burns led the way with 63 yards on the ground and 2 scores while tallying 258 yards passing on a 13-28 night with two touchdown passes. Huntingdon was led by Myles Baney’s 30 yards rushing, Darin Harman’s 58 yards passing and Braylan Ronk’s 5 catches fro 34 yards.
