In what was the most highly anticipated game in 4A in the state of Pennsylvania the Belle Vernon Leopards dominated the McKeesport Tigers 46-14. It was all Belle Vernon from the start of the game as less then two minutes into the game Devin Whitlock returned a McKeesport punt for a touchdown to start the scoring off on the night.

Just a few minutes later his partner in crime Quinton Martin would take a run 59 yards to the endzone and after a missed extra point it was 13-0 Belle Vernon before McKeesport knew what happened. The two teams would trade turnovers on their next few possessions, but then it was Whitlock through the air for the third touchdown of the game as he would find Chase Ruokonen from 17 yards out to make it 20-0 Belle Vernon.

Whitlock would throw another touchdown pass on their next drive, this time from 43 yards out after running back and forth he would find a wide-open Jake Gedekoh to make it 26-0 Belle Vernon. The Tigers would finally respond with a Bobbie Boyd Jr. touchdown run to cut the deficit to 19 with just under three minutes left in the first half.

That was still to much time for the high powered Belle Vernon offense, as they only needed two plays and Whitlock took a read option 58 yards for his fourth touchdown of the first half making it 32-7 heading into the half.

In the second half Whitlock and Martin would both score on the ground again making the final score 46-14. The Leopards finish the regular season undefeated and will most likely be the number one seed in the WPIAL Playoffs when the brackets drop later today. The Tigers fall to 8-2 and still have a very good chance of receiving a first round bye in the WPIAL playoffs, but that decision now falls to the WPIAL playoff committee.
