On Saturday, October 16th, the Bishop Guilfoyle Marauders we’re able to take down the Central Cambria Red Devils by a score of 28-13, to improve to 5-3 on the season. This keeps BG quite alive in the race for a bye week.
The game started out as a low-scoring, defensive battle, with the half time score being 7-6, Guilfoyle on top. However, it all clicked for BG after halftime.
QB Karson Kiesewetter had 261 all purpose yards, 135 through the air, and 126 on the ground. The Red Devils struggled to stop the run throughout the second half.
Despite a late TD score for Central Cambria, the Marauders shut the Red Devils offense down for the entire second half. Defensive lineman Colin Butler and Sante Bambocci were lights out, with both having multiple tackles behind the line of scrimmage. The DBs also did a fantastic job, with Ryan Hagg and Cooper Rother allowing nothing past them.
Looking to build off of this big win, the Marauders face Bishop McCort next week, on Friday the 22nd, with it also being homecoming week.
