Bishop Guilfoyle won their matchup against rival Greater Johnstown (0-1) 49-6, to improve to 1-0. Aided by great offensive line play and dynamic playmakers in the backfield, the Marauders were able to put up 7 touchdowns, three on the ground going to senior QB/WR Haiden Garner. On the defensive side of the ball, Bishop Guilfoyle was all over Johnstown, constantly swarming to the ball play after play, holding the Trojans to 6 points the entire game. BG’s defense was aided by their Junior LB Drew Abraham, who recorded an early interception, and by defensive end Anthony Cioffari, who recorded 1.5 sacks. Bishop Guilfoyle hopes to have a similar result next week, as they face another major rival, Penn Cambria.
