Eight Centre County Athletes Recognized on All-State Teams

This past week the 2020 Pa. Writers’ All-State Teams and the PFN Select All-State Teams were announced and among those teams, eight Centre County athletes were recognized. Two of the athletes were selected for the Writers’ team and six were on the PFN Select teams. Of the eight athletes, two represented State College, four represented Penns Valley, and two represented Bellefonte.
2020 PA. Football Writers’ All-State
6A – Defensive Back – Sammy Knipe, Senior State College. Knipe was also a PFN First Team Select Safety for the Class 6A team.
2A – Tight End -Mason Leib, Senior Penns Valley. Leib was also a PFN First Team Select Tight End for the Class 2A team.
2020 PFN Select All-State
First Team Class 6A Offensive Guard, Michael Dincher Sophomore, State College.
First Team Class 4A Offensive Guard, Trevor Mauk Senior, Bellefonte.
Second Team Class 4A Offensive Tackle, JD Besch Senior, Bellefonte. #54
Second Team Class 2A Offensive Athlete, Stephen Ripka Senior, Penns Valley.
Second Team Class 2A Defensive End, Ben Sharer Senior, Penns Valley.
Second Team Class 2A Offensive Tackle, John Aston Senior, Penns Valley. #55
