“Damon Crawley is the best athlete in the District 6 region, no matter what classification. Any field, anywhere, he’s the best player on the field in this area no question.” That was BEA Head Coach Jesse Nagle’s assessment of the Forest Hills running back who ran over, around and through one of the toughest defenses in District 6. Crawley ran the ball 21 times for 269 yards, finding the endzone five times as the Rangers walked away with a 49-20 win to advance in the PIAA District 6 playoffs and will face Richland at Mansion Park for the 2A title.

The Eagles came into the game with one of the toughest defenses in the area. But they were no match for the Ranger’s line and Crawley’s power and speed. Crawley has run for over 200 yards now 6 times this year, totaling 2,532 yards.

BEA got on the board first after Carson Nagle connected with Camron Watkins, for a 45-yard play to get to the Rangers’ 2. Several plays later Edward Greene busted through to put the Eagles up 7-0.  From there on out it was all Crawley and the Rangers game. Forest Hills responded with a long drive capped by a three yard from from Crawley to tie the game at 7 with 1:12 left in the first quarter.

The second quarter was a bit of a battle until with just 1:38 left in the half when Crawley went in from 21 yards out to put the Rangers up 14-7. Forest Hills opened the second half with Crawley ripping off a 40 yard run, then he went in from the 4 to put the Rangers up 21-7.  It looked as though BEA

It looked like BEA responded with a 55 yard td pass from Nagle to Watkins, but they were flagged for holding. The Rangers took over from there scoring four times in the third quarter.
