Here are the teams from District 6 who have made it to the PIAA title game and their overall record in the championships.

District 6 has not had much success on the state level.  With only seven title game appearances since the title game’s inception.  Tyrone is the one program who has the reputation for being successful having won the district’s state title.  They have made three appearances themselves.

District 6 title game facts:

  • Tyrone made an appearance in the title game in 2011 and State College and Bishop McCort  in 2009. They all lost.
  • District 6 has the second most Single-A teams in the state but have only made three appearances in the title game and have never won.
  • Forest Hills became the first team to lose the state title game in double overtime.
