WINGATE – For the first time since opening day Bald Eagle Area had all of its offensive weapons available and it put them to good use as the Eagles rolled over visiting Huntingdon on Homecoming night at Alumni Stadium.

Quarterback Jaden Jones, who went down with a shoulder injury in Week 3, was back after missing three games and was in mid-season form as he completed 13 of 18 passes for 236 yards and four touchdowns, one of which was a 58-yard strike to wide receiver Matthew Reese to put the Eagles on top 20-0. Reese suffered a shoulder injury against Troy on opening day.
“Jaden is getting into a rhythm now,’’ said Eagle coach Jesse Nagle. “This is the first time he has had all of his weapons at his disposal. We’re starting to play the way we’re capable of playing now.’’

The Eagles took advantage of a Bearcat miscue to score the game’s first touchdown. After being backed up to their own 1 the Bearcats could only get three yards and were forced to punt. Instead they chose to gamble and Derrick Fultz tried to run for the first down. BEA stopped him at the 10, a yard short of the sticks and three plays later Tommy Snyder scored from the 10 to give the Eagles a lead they wouldn’t relinquish.

BEA is now 6-1 and will visit once-beaten Clearfield Friday in a major Mountain League showdown.
