Richland’s return to Penn State’s Lion Strong 7ON Competition was marked with adversity, between wild weather and tough opponents, the Rams battled through the morning at the camp. Suffering losses to Lima Senior, Roman Catholic (twice), Gonzaga’s “Purple” Team, and West York Area School District, the Rams finished the day with a 0-5 record. There were some victories for the Rams, including a timely interception to take a short-lived lead in their first game of the morning by Jake Regan, along with a touchdown for both wide receivers Jamere Cristian and Arnold Mugerwa. The Rams suffered a huge loss in their starting quarterback, Grayson Mahla, in the final game of the day, to an injury. Missing players and battling higher-ranked opponent’s, the Rams hope to come out of the tournament stronger and more prepared for the start of the 25-26 football season.
