BEA and Central Cambria entered Fridays game with identical 4-5 records. It could have been a game that didn’t mean much, however, with Mount Union forced to end their season early this game was a “play in” game with the winner getting the last spot in the PIAA District 6 playoffs. BEA took advantage of excellent kicking and defensive play from Jackson Millward to get the 21-0 win and that final playoff spot.
Millward nailed 2 field goals (23 & 24 yards), kicked an extra point and he intercepted two passes to lead the Eagles to the win. Quarterback Gradyn Fisher had 2 touchdown runs, sailed two punts inside the Red Devils one yard line and threw a two point conversion to put BEA up 15-0 at halftime.
