Q&A

Q: What made you choose football?

A: I played flag football in the early stages of elementary school and really enjoyed it, which made me want to join our youth football league when I was in the 4th grade.

Q: What’s your favorite football memory?

A: When a batted ball at the line of scrimmage landed in my arms during a youth football game, I ran toward the end zone until being dragged down by 4 or 5 players from the opposing team.

Q: What activities do you enjoy outside of playing football?

A: Spending time with my friends and family.

Q: What non-football accomplishment are you most proud of?

A: The Olympic Round Shoot-Off at the Pennsylvania State Archery Championships – I shot a perfect score (30) to win the contest and defeat the 3-time defending state champion.

Q: Who is your favorite athlete, and why?

A: JJ Watt. He’s an outstanding player on the field and an even better person off the field.

Q: What has been the most difficult part of training during the pandemic and how did you overcome it?

A: Not being able to be with my teammates. I accepted the COVID-19 situation for what it was and stayed very focused on my weight gain goal and my desire to get stronger and found ways to accomplish my goals.

Q: Do you prefer offense or defense?

A: Offense

Q: Who is your biggest role model?

A: I would have to say that the person who has inspired me the most has been my grandmother. She is a very kind, positive, patient, and loving person who always encourages me.

Q: What are your parents most likely to yell from the stands?

A: LETS GO, Ryan!

Q: What are your team and personal goals for the season?

A: My team goals are to play and win one game at a time and to position ourselves for an opportunity to play for the 5A WPIAL title, then make a run at the State Championship title. My personal goals are to have the most dominant O-Line in the entire WPIAL and to be the most dominant Offensive Tackle in the state.

Q: If you could have dinner with three people, living or dead, who would you choose?

A: JJ Watt, Sidney Crosby, and Lou Gehrig.

Q: What hobby do you have that might surprise people?

A: Shooting competition Archery.

Q: What’s your favorite sport, other than football, to play or watch?

A: Track & Field. I throw the discus and shot put. I also enjoy watching MLB and NHL.

Q: What is one thing you hope other players can learn from you?

A: Always to believe in yourself.

Q: What is your expectation of South Fayette football this season?

A: To be one of the best teams our program has ever had

Q: What is your favorite TV show?

A: Impractical Jokers

Q: What is your favorite movie?

A: I have two – Remember the Titans and Lone Survivor

Q: What is your favorite subject in school?

A: History

Q: What music do you listen to?

A: Rap, R&B, Pop, and some Country.
