PFN Thoughts:
For the first time in quite a while, we will have to say the Rams will be in a rebuilding year. Not exactly ideal for their first year in the WPIAL. But there’s no doubt Roger Beitel will have his team ready to compete. While limited on the number of returning starters, these new starters have had plenty of experience with most of the lineup usually out of the game by the second half. Look for son Nick to be a force on both sides of the ball. It’s disappointing we won’t get that Jeannette matchup, but opening with Ridge isn’t an easy task.
What does your offense need to improve on from last year?
Ligonier Valley will be very young with the bulk of the starters coming from the junior and sophomore classes. Gaining valuable varsity reps and experience will be the key.
What does your defense need to improve on from last year
Ligonier Valley will be replacing its starting lineup with 10 new starters on the defensive side of the ball. The defense will be looking to rebuild.
