Why do you play football?
To compete. I love playing football with my brothers. I’ve been playing with a lot of these guys since we were in first or second grades. Now we’re heading into our senior year – so it’s our last chance to play together.
Who is your favorite sports star and why?
TJ Watt. I love the way he plays the game.
Do you have a favorite play you remember the most? Explain:
It’s a sequence. Last year, we needed to beat Seneca Valley to punch our ticket to the playoffs. It was a tough game that went to overtime. Seneca Valley scored first but my buddy Joey Peters blocked the extra point. When we got a chance to respond, Joey Daniels hit me on corner route for the TD. And our special teams got the clutch extra point for the win. It was a great team victory.
What are your goals for this coming season?
Win the WPIAL and win State.
What is your favorite Pro team, any sport?
Steelers, of course. Love the black & gold.
What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game and why?
Super Bowl XLIII – Steelers vs. Cardinals. The James Harrison play is just amazing. And the toe-tap catch to win it! Great throw. Great catch. It doesn’t get any better than that!
What sports movie would you watch every day if you had to pick one and why?
The Blindside. It’s a true story. It’s inspiring.
When you aren’t playing, practicing or training for sports, what is your go to activity and why?
Fishing – because it’s way to relax and get outdoors.
What is your favorite football memory to date?
Sophomore year – beating our rival Upper St. Clair on their home turf.
What is your favorite play to run?
I’m not going to tell you the routes I like most. Can’t give away any secrets! So, I’ll just say it’s any play where I get to throw the ball. I’m 2 for 2 with one touchdown.
Music of choice?
Biggie! I love the Notorious B.I.G.
Which one, Sheetz or Wawa?
Sheetz. No question.
