Head Coach Tanner Garry says “Matt is a phenomenal athlete who could play any position on the field. As a freshman, he leads the team in everything he does. A naturally gifted athlete who out works everyone around him. During his freshman year, he rushed for close to 2,000 yards and threw for another 1,200. This made him the first freshman in WPIAL history to rush and throw for 1,000 yards during the regular season.”
