“Brandon was a monster last year, he earned 1st Team All Conference and received several votes for defensive Player of the Year at LB where he was dominant with 90 tackles, 13 TFL, 2 Sacks, 2 INT, 2 FF, 2 FR, 1 Defensive TD, 1 blocked kick. On top of that, he was the teams leading rusher with 451 yards and 4 touchdowns. This kid is just a special all around player and will be a big factor his senior year.”

Let’s get to know a lot more about this beast Brandon:

Why do you play football ?
It’s an unmatched way to connect with your brothers. It’s controlled chaos that me and my best friends can come together and rough up some people together for 4 quarters. You can act like a whole different animal for 4 quarters with no consequences and I love that.

Who is your favorite sports star and why ?
Charles Oliveira, he really came from nothing and he’s somebody who is a very nice and educated guy who you think can’t do any harm when he’s not in the octagon but turns into a beast when he’s inside of it. I try to replicate that mentality and the grind it took to get where he’s at now.

Do you have a favorite play you remember the most ? Explain:
Blocking the game winning field goal to win the game against Cornell at the end of my Sophomore year. It’s always a great feeling to beat those guys who were super solid that year and it really kick started our run to Heinz Field.

What was last year’s season like for you ?
Of course it’s a let down any time you don’t win a championship, especially when you made it there the year before, but I feel like we planted a lot of seeds and the guys coming back are more than prepared and as hungry as ever to win it all.

Who is the best player you have ever lined up against ?
Buck Sanders from Clairton my Freshman year. That dude was a giant and little 155 pound me had no chance. I think he ran for 450 yards that game. He was crazy!

What stadium, (HS/College/Pro) would you love to visit for a game ?
Sofi Stadium 100%, that place looks futuristic.

What is your favorite Pro Sports team(any sport) ? Explain:
Pittsburgh Pirates, it’s hard to root for them but I love baseball a ton and I can’t help but root for the hometown team.

What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why ?
When I was in 5th grade for basketball, I got called up to play varsity then I hit a game winning three pointer at the buzzer and everyone came off the bench and mobbed me at half court.

What sports movie could you watch every day if you had to pick one, and why ?
Talladega Nights if that counts, it’s too funny.

Name one thing you’d love to do in football that may never happen ?
Score a rushing, receiving, passing, and defensive touchdown in the same game, NOW that would be crazy.

Name a sport you’d love to play but can’t:
Golf, they make tons of money and it seems very laid back, I’m not that good at it though.

What is your most embarrassing sports moment ?
When I strained my hamstring rounding first base this year, I face planted, it sucked and hurt real bad.

Tell us something about playing for OLSH that stands out, that others may not know ?
At OLSH, it always seems like we have a target on our backs, no matter how good we are at whatever sport we’re playing in, it always seems like it’s a special thing when the other team beats us so we try our best to prevent that.

When you aren’t playing, practicing, or training for sports, what is your go to activity, and why ?
Hanging out with my friends, praying, lifting, and playing video games.

Which one, Sheetz, Wawa, or Rutters ? Explain:
Sheetz, mostly because I never had the other two. I heard Wawa hoagies are pretty good, and I couldn’t tell you what Rutter’s is.

What is your favorite vacation destination ?
Italy, that’s where my family comes from and it’s a beautiful place.

Tell us something that you have a fear of ?
GOD !

Favorite School Subject ?
Gym

Favorite Band/Musician ?
Luke Combs, he’s the man. You can listen to him for all moods and I just went to his concert and it was amazing.

NBA, NHL, MLB, NCAAF, NFL, Which league is the best and why ?
NFL, I love baseball the most but the NFL is the best to watch. Plus fantasy football is one of my favorite things to do with all the guys.

Best Video Game Console(XBox/Playstation/Sega/Atari/etc) and why ?
PlayStation, not even close.

Airplane, Boat, or Vehicle(motorcycles included), how would you travel and to where ?
I would travel by boat to Hawaii, it’s relaxing on a boat and you can go fishing, swim and do a bunch of different stuff like that while you travel. Hawaii seems like it would be unreal to visit and would be super fun.

Name one thing in life(NOT SPORTS RELATED) you would like to achieve:
I would like to become a lawyer or detective in the future. It’s something that really interests me and I enjoy watching crime shows and documentaries and stuff with my Pap.

Location you think would be the best place to live(ie: island, mountains, city, etc) ? Explain why:
The mountains would be pretty cool, you can go skiing or sled riding and the views up there would be legit.
