From the coach “Eric is a captain and 3-year starter for the Fightin Planets and is looking to cap off his tremendous career this season with a championship. He is finally healthy and will play running back on offense and lead the secondary playing safety on defense.”

Which game are you looking forward to the most? Explain
Our week 0 game vs. Boone HS down in Florida. I can speak for the whole team in saying we’ve never done anything like this so it will be a great experience and opportunity for everyone.
Would you rather play your rival on opening night or the last game of the season?
Opening night. Everyone will come to the first game and there would be a lot of hype surrounding it.
What do you feel is the best part of your game?
My ability to fly downhill and make tackles.
Do you prefer to play offense or defense?
Defense.
What are your goals for the 2024 season?
Make a deep playoff run and hopefully win the WPIAL Championship. After that, continue to the state playoffs and see where it goes from there.
What has been your biggest moment as an athlete?
In my first ever game at Mars, as a sophomore QB, we played Montour, and I had about a 45 yd. Touchdown run to secure the lead.
What has been your most embarrassing moment as an athlete?
Letting up a touchdown that I could’ve easily made a play on.
With this being your final season at Mars Area High School, have you found yourself preparing any differently?
Just working as hard as possible in order to be the best player I can be for my team.
Where should the state finals be held?
Hershey Park. 100%
When things are going well, which teammate is most likely to do something funny to try to help things lose?
Zach Dental. He’s always joking around, no matter the circumstance.
If you are invited to play in one of the all-star games after the season, will you play?
I’d say yes but I wouldn’t be able to make that decision now.
Can you share with PAFOOTBALLNEWS Nation some of the schools that are recruiting you?
I have 2 D3 offers. Hampden-Sydney College and Waynesburg University. Definitely, some other schools at multiple different levels showing interest though.
Where is the best local mom-and-pop place to grab a bite?
Jimmy’s Grille, right in the town of Mars. Very good breakfast.
What is your favorite type of music?
It’s between Rap, Reggae, and sometimes Country, but I’d have to say rap is what I mostly listen to.
Outside of sports, what are you doing for fun?
Fishing, Golf, and playing Xbox are the main things I do outside of sports.
