LETS GET TO KNOW ROMAN
Why do you play football?
Well my mom and my uncle first got me into football ever since I was little. But I kept playing because of the competition that it brings. I love anything that has any sort of competition.
It’s gamely! What are you looking forward to most?
I’m looking forward to this season and everyone being able to see how hard our team worked this offseason.
Who is your favorite sports star and WHY?
Definitely TJ Watt, he’s the best edge rusher in the NFL and when he’s playing his best he is unstoppable.
Do you have a favorite play you remember the most? Explain:
Way back in the day when I was like 9 or 10 I scored my first touchdown. That was definitely a play i’ll never forget.
What was last years season like for you?
I definitely enjoyed the season but we ultimately fell short of our goal of a championship.
What are your goals for the coming season?
Definitely to win a championship.
Personal goals?
I want to become more of a leader on the team and play a bigger role on the defensive line.
What stadium (HS, College or Pro) would you love to visit for a game?
Definitely the Rose Bowl Stadium. It doesn’t matter who’s playing, seeing a game there would be amazing.
Who is your favorite pro team? (any sports)
Definitely the Steelers. I’ve always been a Steelers fan. Just after I was born my mom bought me a Ben Roethisberger jersey.
What game (yours, college, pro) was your favorite game you watched and why?
Either The 2021 ACC Championship when Pitt beat Wake Forest, or The 2024 National Championship when Michigan beat Washington. They were both great games which made them so entertaining.
What sports movie would you watch every day if you had to pick one and why?
Probably The Longest Yard because it’s definitely one of my favorite movies i’ve watched. I think Adam Sandler is one of the best actors of all time.
If your mom and dad are screaming at you from the stands, what do they usually yell?
Being on the field you can’t really hear much anyone is saying, but my mom is definitely yelling something along the lines of “push him”

I wish I could score a touchdown. If Coach Lehmeier designs a play for me to get the ball, there is no doubt i’m getting in the end zone.
Who is your mentor, the person you want to be like and WHY?
Definitely my mom. She pushes me to be the best I can be.
Name a sport you’d love to play but can’t?
Lacrosse. I first saw a game my freshman year and I never knew how violent and how it’s like football in some ways. Definitely a sport I wish i played growing up.
What is your most embarrassing sports moment?
Probably any play where i’ve jumped offsides. Definitely not a good moment for me at all.
